Review Title:

I thought the program was fine

Full Review of the Program:

There's a lot of truth in some of the criticism. In my 3 years in the program (graduated 2008), I had some of the best writing classes I've ever had and wrote some of the best work I've ever written. Amongst those great classes were some that were not so great, but even in those usually learned something useful.

The school is definitely improving. If you need a writing grad program in LA that's more diverse than your average MFA, the MPW program is a decent choice. Yes, it's expensive, so you have to weigh that against what you're going to get out of it. I don't regret attending.
