Review Title:

Best Kept MFA Secret

Full Review of the Program:

Why would you want to move to a sleepy desert town to pursue your MFA? Because that sleepy town fosters a unique, cohesive artistic community that you won't find in a big city. If you are looking for a hands-off MFA, where you will be left to your own devices, this is not the MFA for you. If you are looking for cut-throat competition, wrong place. What you will find here is a familial community of writers, professors whose doors are always open, a terrific reading series, and the sort of one-on-one mentorship you might only find at a low-res MFA.
