Program Description

The Basic Sciences course is 1-4 semesters long and teaches basic biomedical sciences, problem solving and physical exam skills. UMHS students complete their fifth semester studies at the UMHS campus in Portland, Maine. After completing the 5th semesters, students enter the clinical science course that consists of 48 weeks core rotations and 34 weeks of elective rotations.UMHS is affiliated with teaching hospitals in New York, Connecticut, Illinois, Georgia, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom.
