Program Description

The MFA Writing program at Sarah Lawrence offers genres in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Students in the program may enroll in the program on a full time (2 years) or part time (3 years) basis. Students work very closely with faculty members, and all workshops include a weekly one on one conference between students and their workshop instructor. Aside from workshops, students also take seminars on the craft of writing. Through the Community Writers Program, students may obtain graduate teaching and internship positions.
