Eastern Kentucky University MFA in Creative Writing
Program Description
Eastern Kentucky University offers a brief residency creative writing program. Depending on their schedules outside the program, students attend 1-3 residencies per year, for a total of 2 to 6 weeks. Residencies consist of workshops, lectures, and seminars taught by permanent and visiting faculty. During the remainder of the year, students complete their coursework online. The residencies are held in Lexington, Kentucky and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. EKU prides itself on being one of the most affordable low residency programs and allows students to study more than one genre.
