Program Description

In addition to the workshop, which forms the core of the Columbia MFA program's curriculum, Columbia offers seminars, lectures, and master classes which teach literature with an emphasis on craft. Outside of class, students have the option of participating in several extra-curricular activities, including a student reading series, a student-run literary magazine, and panel discussions. An average of 70 students are admitted each year.
