The MBA programme at City University of Hong Kong emphasizes action learning through various methods, such as case studies, experience sharing and the interactive setting of courses like Professional Forum, Industry On-site Workshop, Project and Enterprise Diagnostic Residential Trip. It offers managers from both private and public sectors a professional education in which their managerial competence and skills can be enhanced, thus better enable them to achieve their career goals.

The normal duration for completing the 40-credit MBA programme is 2 years (part-time). Non-local participants may enroll the programme in full-time mode of study and complete it in 1 year. In addition to the 8 Foundation and 4 Integrated courses (a total of 28 credit units), participants will take at least 12 credit units of electives from a wide spectrum of areas like Accounting, e-Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Management, Marketing and Service Management to suit their needs for career development.

Applicant must satisfy the following minimum entrance requirements:

- a recognized degree with 2nd class honours or above, or equivalent; plus
- at least 3 years of work experience; and
- an acceptable GMAT score or equivalent subject to approval of MBA Programme Director
- All shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview.
