Program Description
MFA students at Chicago State University enroll in workshops in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, play writing, and screenwriting, as well as courses in African-American literature. To graduate, students must complete a final thesis in poetry, fiction, or nonfiction, as well as pass an examination in African-American or non African-American literature. Students also give a reading of their work. Visiting writers teach seminars and workshops.
